Poetry and Performance

Caleb Simon is a poet and maths student. He writes weird stuff, queer stuff, techy stuff, maths stuff, existential stuff, joyful stuff, miserable stuff and quite a lot of stuff about trains.

He can be found generally in the Bath or Worcestershire areas but who knows, maybe he’s in your garden shed right now, maybe you should check.

The (mostly) complete bio:

Caleb Simon is a poet and maths student who can be found skulking about at open mics in Bath or empty fields in Worcestershire (depending on the time of year). He is the Young Worcestershire Poet Laureate 2023-24, a Uni-slam semi-finalist and Worcester Slam champ 2024. He has performed at Ledbury Poetry Festival, Out-Spoken London and supported Simon Armitage – the poet laureate – on his library tour. His poetry has been performed by the Philharmonia orchestra as part of the Three Choirs Festival. Some of his work can be found in And Other Poems, Propel Magazine, and a couple Young Poets’ Network Challenges. He writes a lot of maths poetry much to the dismay of every open-mic in the local area, but the themes you’ll pick out are usually queer joy, technology, space and figuring shit out.

He is a part of the organisational team for Chimes Poetry Night, Bath’s biggest poetry open mic night. He co-edited the Chimes Community Anthology, which is stocked by three booksellers in Bath.
